Timberland Shibuya Koen-Dori Concept Store was designed under the keyword
of "Recycle & Ecology",
to encourage all to be involve without feeling any boundary as well as to
have it softly seep into life of all.
Awareness of unknown values and abandoned items.
Together with Timberland, we tried to include the idea in every process of
creating the space.
Our approach to this space was for example like following:
- To use materials normally get dumped
- To understand the background of the materials before use
- To recycle and find use for the broken scrap pieces produced during the
construction
- To create environment that encourages the "recycle&ecology"
communication among shop staffs,
and also between shop staffs and visitors
The store is located at the up end of Koen-Dori guiding to Yoyogi Park.
We are hoping the store space will become a true communication centre for
"Recycle & Ecology" for young people in the town.
We imagine the forest appeared on Koen Dori would spread outwards in the town
of spectacle.
