Field Workshop フィールド・ワークショップ

The assignment this time was an art workshop in Akiyoshidai, staying in the village for one whole week.

Everything had been perfectly planned in details when we left for Akiyoshidai, everything was so ready, just until we arrived and realised that our mobiles would not be in service in that village, where we meet a snake every 400 metres (they are sunbathing on heated up asphalt street during the day).

Doline, the huge holes you find in Karst tableland, is connected straight down to underground water vein. Imagine you fall, you'll never come back!!

Ok, our plans turned out kind of useless in front of this big NATURE in capitals.

Workshops should never run predictable. We are excited to hear about more workshops we can give!!!

今回のassistantのお題は1週間秋吉台に滞在してのワークショップ。

東京で作戦を練りに練り、準備万端で秋吉台に出発するも、携帯電話はつながらない。太陽で温められたアスファルトの上で日向ぼっこする蛇と400メートルおきに出会う。カルスト台地に点々とするドリーネと呼ばれる大きな穴は地下水脈まで一直線。転落するともう戻ってはこられないという。

想像以上の大自然を前では、東京で温めた作戦が、まるで役に立たない。
予定通りにいかないのがワークショップか。こりないassistantは次のワークショップを心待ちにしています。
