a lion in the sky　空からライオン

Amsterdam is a small town but a maze.
Even after visiting the city number of times, even with your Dutch friends, or with Dutch bikes, or with a nice little townmap in your hand, you find yourself already passed the destination, walking towards south though you were heading to the east or something. Houses are occasionally built in angles, and old houses have secrecy kind of attics. And quite often you'll see a fat woman in a little glass window, dancing in their fancy underwears. Amsterdam is as enigmatic as a chit of a little girl.

And today, a lion in the sky. The lion is hanging from the Heineken's building, as though it was a sacrifice for the sake of bringing golden beer.

アムステルダムは、小さな町だけど、迷路みたいだ。
何回来ても、友達と一緒でも、自転車でも、たとえ手に地図をもっていても、気がつくと目的地は通り過ぎているし、東に歩いていたと思えばいつのまにか道が南向きになっている。ときどき家が斜めに建っているし、どの家にも秘密っぽい屋根裏部屋がある。それに、たびたび小さなガラス窓の中で、下着姿の太った娼婦が踊っている。アムステルダムは、小生意気な小さな女の子みたいで謎がかっている。

そして、今日は、空からライオン。ハイネケンのビルからライオンの皮がぶら下がっている。今日も明日も明後日も金色のビールを飲むための生贄でしょうか。
