chocolate factory　チョコレート工場

The Eiffel Tower, the pyramid, the Venetian canals, and the sky: they are all fake. The brides standing every 100 meters are real, that is for sure. The whole city looks like Willy Wonka Candy Factory rather than Disney World. Las Vegas is such a place. It is very difficult to find which is real and which you can eat. But we don't need to worry about that because we can eat everything. Las Vegas is such a place.

エッフェル塔もピラミッドも、ベネチアの運河も空も偽物だけれど、100メートルおきに立っている花嫁さんは本物、ラスベガスはそんな所。そして、街全体がディズニーランド、というよりはウォンカのチョコレート工場と言った方がしっくりくる所。何が本物で、何が食べられるモノなのかも分からないけれども、何を食べてもお腹を壊す心配はない、そんな所です。
