Kathryn Findlay designed a pool house, beautiful blending of Japanese and Western elements.
Swim under the Japanese traditional thatched roof.
A bed of flowers on the rooftop. It's called "Shiba-mune" in Japanese, isn't it?
Flowers bloom in spring. Graceful pool house. This unique roof finish has been exhibited
in Victoria&Albert Museum lately.

キャサリン・フィンドレイが設計したプールの家を訪れた。和洋折衷。茅葺き屋根の下で泳ぐ。屋根の上には一列の花壇。これを日本では芝棟と言いましたっけ。春には花が咲く。優美なプールハウス。この珍しい建築仕上げは、最近ビクトリア＆アルバートミュージアムにも展示された。
